In The Corner:
It was a time in my past when the darkness had overshadowed the light.
And yet there I was, back in the corner.
I curled myself up into a ball and tried to make myself as small as possible.
Rocking back-and-forth was comforting. Nobody could hurt me here. I was alone but I was safe.
But this time I wanted somebody to find me.
NB: This is totally fiction. I have never found myself in a corner curled into a ball rocking back-and-forth. I did have an eating disorder for 10 years but I’ve been lucky. There are many others though, who haven’t. This story is for all those who can relate.
