292. Job Interview:
I felt like I was at a job interview, not on a date. He was drilling me for information about myself with a ferociousness that was almost scary. Question after question about my hobbies, favourite colour, food and movie, the types of music I did or didn’t listen to. He wanted to know everything about me and although that was nice and showed he was interested, I felt exhausted and we’d only been here for ten minutes. I knew it was a bad sign that I was looking forward to my meal arriving just so I could have a break from the relentless questioning.
It’s a pity I hadn’t been able to recognise those early signs in my previous relationship.
