365 Days Writing Prompt Challenge: Day 57

57. Alarm Clock:

I wanted to kill it.

I could feel the rage bubbling inside me ready to explode and my hands were clenched into fists by my sides.

I tried to ignore it.

Maybe it would stop.

Wishful thinking.

I knew it wouldn’t stop.

Not until I silenced it.

Preferably with a hammer.

A large one like Jim Carrey had had in ‘The Mask.’

The thought made me smile.

“AHHHHHHH!” I groaned out loud.

How long would it keep going on for?!

Right, I’d had enough.

I rolled over, got my leg caught in the blanket as I tried to kick it off and cursed.

Now I was mad.

Now I was literally going to kill it.

It bounced on the table like it was alive and for a second I swore it grinned manically.

I picked it up and threw it across the room.

Silence.

Fucking alarm clock.

Gotta love Monday mornings.
