The monotony of it all was driving her mad. Everyday, the same. Wake up, eat breakfast, drink coffee, go downtown, drink coffee, walk home, eat lunch, take a nap, wake up, eat a snack, do some writing, go for a walk, eat dinner, go to bed.
She yawned. The whole thing was making her tired. Tired of her life. She wanted to inject some excitement into it. Something like a hot romance. A steamy affair. A tall, dark and handsome man who was actually single this time and was considered to be one of the most eligible bachelors in the city.
Yep, I could do that, she thought to herself.
He needed to be powerful, confident, but not arrogant. Nice, but not too nice so that people walked all over him. Good at his job, passionate about his life and hobbies and smart. She didn’t want someone who couldn’t hold an interesting conversation. Oh and he needed to make her laugh. Was she asking too much? She didn’t think so.
Yep, a boyfriend was just what she needed (and wanted, if she was honest), but could he tame her lustful and free-spirited nature? That would be his challenge.
Oh! And I want to be chased, she thought. I’m always the one doing the chasing. No more, she told herself firmly. I want this man to be completely in love with me and only me.
Yep, sunrise/sunset and the turning of each day with such a man would definitely make life interesting. No more monotony.
Now, where to find such a man…?
